The photo inspiration for “Chardonnay Coast’ was taken in Capitola looking south toward Monterey Bay. The central California coast has great influence on the chardonnay grapes grown in this appellation. Christensen paints the last remnants of coastal fog which linger along the coast until dissipating as the day warms.
